STORK
Stork was founded in 1868 by Charles Theodorus Stork. Until the 1960's it has been manufacturing very large (10.000 hp per cylinder) and small diesel engines. From day one, Stork embodied the concept of social responsibility, for example being the founder of the first company pension fund.
These fine display photographs of naked machines are exhibited in all their simplicity like sculptures of steel. The background was manually erased in the negatives, leaving the machines in an empty space - not unlike the white cube in a gallery or museum.
